What’s happening?
Customers are unable to use the 'Correct' option in the Product Receipt Journal for items that are subject to warehouse management processes after the product receipt and put away have been completed from a mobile device.
Reason:
The inability to correct a product receipt is by design for WMS-enabled items. The system displays a message indicating that the product receipt correction cannot be processed because it contains items subject to warehouse management processes, which are not supported by product receipt correction.
Resolution:
- Cancel the Product Receipt: The supported process is to cancel the product receipt from the load. This requires that the product receipt was posted from the load.
- Move Items Back to Receiving Location: Before canceling the product receipt, ensure that the item is back in the receiving location on the same License Plate used when receiving the item. If the item is not moved back, canceling the receipt will result in an error.
- Use Transfer Journal: To move the item back to the receiving location, utilize a Transfer Journal from the UI or the mobile app with a mobile device menu item that has the work creation process set to Movement.
- Cancel the Receipt: After the item has been moved back to the receiving location on the same License Plate, proceed to cancel the receipt.
- Reprocess Purchase Receiving: Once the receipt is canceled, the Purchase Order line status will revert to its state as if it was never received. You can then perform Purchase Receiving again, using the UI or mobile app, creating a new Work Order with the desired quantities.
