The product program plan is not taking into account trade agreements of the type discount, leading to incorrect vendor selection during the planning optimization process.

This arises when the master planning parameters are set to pick the lowest unit price, but the system does not consider the discounts applied to trade agreements for certain vendors.
 

Resolution:

  1. Verify that the master planning parameter "Find Trade Agreement" is set to "Yes" and the search criterion is set to "Lowest Unit Price."
  2. Ensure that trade agreements are correctly set up for all relevant vendors, including the correct pricing and any applicable discounts.
  3. If the issue persists, check for any custom extensions that may be affecting the planning optimization process.
  4. Request the customer’s technical team to debug the issue by removing any custom code and testing the scenario in a UAT environment.
  5. If the issue is reproducible in a standard environment without customizations, further investigation may be required, potentially involving escalation to the internal team for resolution.
