What’s happening?
System directed cluster picking is not creating a cluster, even though there are as many work headers as there are positions in the cluster.
Reason:
The system directed cluster process may fail to find the work from the warehouse management application if the queried pick/put work lines do not have location information populated. Additionally, the put location directive may be set for single items or orders only, which can prevent the referenced work from obtaining a put location.
Resolution:
- Review the related location directives to ensure they are correctly configured.
- Check if the put lines have a location set. If not, verify if the put location may have a stock limit or if there have been any changes to the location directives.
- Change the scope of the put location directive to "All" or add a new put location directive for multiple items.
- Regenerate the work with the appropriate pick/put location and run the system-directed cluster picking process again.
- If necessary, obtain traces for the system directed cluster creation process using the warehouse management application emulator and the preview function to further diagnose the issue.
