What’s happening?
Customers are unable to use an item list on project sales orders in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. When attempting to add the item list to sales order lines, an error message stating "activity must be specified" is displayed.
Reason:
This is related to the system's design, which currently does not support the use of item lists with project sales orders.
Resolution:
- A bug has been created for this , and updates are awaited from the product team.
- It has been confirmed that the item list cannot be used with project sales orders, and this issue is categorized as a "won't fix" due to the design of the system.
- Customers are advised to monitor updates related to this issue through the appropriate channels.
