What’s happening?
User would like to mass update the new Item sale tax group to all item master records in response to changes in the Indonesian government's regulation regarding value-added tax.
Reason:
The need to update the tax code arises from the government's regulation change from 11% to 12% value-added tax, requiring all master items to reflect the new tax code while retaining the old tax code for historical transactions.
Resolution:
- Use the Data Management function in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
- Select the entity named "Released products V2."
- Modify the PURCHASESALESTAXITEMGROUPCODE column to reflect the new tax code.
- Import the modified file back into the system.
- It is recommended to test this process in a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment first.
- For detailed steps on how to export and import data, refer to the documentation on uploading data via Data Management Framework in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
