What’s happening?
The customer is encountering an error message stating, “The attribute Stocked product cannot be changed if there are products associated with the item model group” when attempting to disable the stocked product on an item model group.


Reason:
This arises because the system is designed to prevent changes to the stocked product attribute if there are existing transactions associated with the item model group. Specifically, if there is an open sales order linked to any item within the group, the system will not allow the change.


Resolution:

  • It has been confirmed with the internal team that the behavior is intended by the system design.
  • To resolve the issue, the customer must create a new item model group and release the product there, as the current item model group cannot have the stocked product disabled due to the existing transaction.
  • If further assistance is needed, the customer is encouraged to reach out for additional information.
