What’s happening?
When importing data via a data entity, if any mandatory field is spelled incorrectly, the system throws an error and the import fails. However, if any non-mandatory field is spelled incorrectly, no errors are generated, and the system processes the import successfully.
Reason:
The behavior observed is expected as per the product functionality, where mandatory fields must be correctly spelled for successful import, while non-mandatory fields do not affect the import process if they contain spelling errors.
Resolution:
- Ensure that all mandatory fields are spelled correctly before attempting to import data to avoid import failures.
- If non-mandatory fields are misspelled, be aware that the import will still proceed without errors, but the data may not be accurate.
