Applies to Product - Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management

What’s happening?
The 'Price Quote' button changes the 'Origin' field to 'Supply' followed by alphanumeric characters instead of 'Dynamics 365 Sales'. This issue affects the ability to complete end-to-end testing and may impact the go-live date.

Reason:
This appears to be related to the configuration in the Finance and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) environment, where the default ownership setting does not function as intended. The expected behavior is that the 'Origin' field should reflect the source of the quote creation, either from Customer Engagement (CE) or FSCM.

Resolution:

  1. Verify the environment settings to ensure that the default ownership is correctly configured in the FSCM environment.
  2. Change the default ownership setting to 'Dynamics 365 Sales' if it is not reflecting correctly.
  3. Review the documentation regarding sales quotation origin and ownership to ensure compliance with expected configurations: Microsoft Documentation.
  4. If the issue persists, consider checking for any custom plug-ins that may be affecting the behavior of the 'Price Quote' button and the associated calculations.
