What’s happening?
Certain elements, such as BOM and the condition of employee, are not visible when selecting "Managerial Hierarchy" for the condition of an employee in the procurement workflow in the UAT environment. Additionally, errors occur when attempting to delegate or reassign work items in the Purchase Order Workflow, specifically indicating that a user could not be found.
Reason:
This appear to be related to customization conflicts within the workflow and user assignment configurations that are specific to the UAT environment, which do not occur in the Production environment.
Resolution:
- For this of missing elements in the procurement workflow:
- Investigate the customization settings related to the BOM and employee condition.
- Ensure that all workflow steps have valid users assigned. An error such as "This workflow cannot continue processing because no users were retrieved for the current workflow step" indicates that an invalid user is assigned in the workflow steps.
- Review security permissions to verify that users have the necessary permissions for the menu items associated with the workflow work item.
- If the workflow is in an unrecoverable state, consider using SQL scripts to update the Vendor and Workflow status or to flip the status back to Draft.
- For the Purchase Order Workflow issue:
- Review the assignment setup type, ensuring it is correctly configured as role-based for the cost center.
- Check the user assignments in the Purchase Order workflow to ensure that the user exists and is correctly set up in the system.
- If the issue persists, further investigation may be required to identify any underlying configuration issues specific to the UAT environment.
