What’s happening?
The system generates a new job identification number when job updating is performed after the route operation number sequence has been interchanged. This results in an error message stating "job identification number XXXXXX illegal reference" during the transfer of job registrations.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the modification of route details, which leads to the generation of a new job identification number. When the job registration is transferred, the system does not recognize the new job identification number, resulting in the error.
Resolution:
- Before transferring the registration on the approve form, the user should remember the start and end time, delete the existing registration line, create a new registration line, fill out the correct job identification number and start/end times, and then perform the calculation and transfer. This workaround should prevent the error: "Error ### identification number XXXXXX illegal reference."
- If the job status is "Interrupted," the job identification number should not be updated. If it is updated, the system should ensure that the new job identification number is reflected in the transfer lines during job registration transfer.
