What’s happening?
Unexpected behavior occurs when the Material over-picking (%) field on the Released product is updated. Specifically, when this field is changed to a value not present on the inherited formula line, the Override material over-picking threshold switch on the formula line is automatically set to ‘Yes’. The formula line retains the originally inherited percentage value, which affects all formula lines associated with the Released product.
Reason:
By design, the system behavior is such that when the Material over-picking (%) on the released product is updated, it triggers the automatic setting of the Override material over-picking threshold switch.
Resolution:
- It has been confirmed that when the over-picking percentage is updated from the released product form, the system inherits the new value and automatically toggles the override switch in the formula line to ‘Yes’, while leaving the percentage set to 0% under the override switch.
- If the over-picking percentage is updated from the formula line, the override switch is also toggled to ‘Yes’, but the over-picking percentage remains 0 in the released product form.
- If this behavior does not meet user expectations, it is recommended to submit feedback through the Ideas portal for potential prioritization and implementation in future releases.
