What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing discrepancies in header names on tables imported to Power BI, leading to difficulties in data analysis and dashboard creation.
Reason:
This arises from the expected by-design behavior when using OData to retrieve data from the source. The data retrieved does not include the field labels as seen in the user interface, resulting in different naming conventions.
Resolution:
- It is recommended to edit or transform the field names directly within Power BI to match the desired naming conventions.
- Users should be informed that this behavior is by design and that the only feasible solution is to manually adjust the field names in Power BI.
