What’s happening?
Customers are encountering an error when attempting to disable users in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, specifically receiving a message stating that "The user with this email does not exist in Microsoft Entra ID."
Reason:
The error occurs because the users being disabled are not present in the Microsoft Entra ID tenant associated with the Finance and Operations environment. This situation typically arises when users have been deleted from Entra ID, often due to resignation from the organization.
Resolution:
- To resolve this, it is recommended to delete the users manually in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (FnO) and then recreate them in Microsoft Entra ID before importing them back into FnO.
- Users should be deactivated in the application before being removed from Microsoft Entra ID to avoid issues with user management.
