What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing failures during the deployment of quality updates in Dynamics 365, specifically when attempting to update from version 10.0.40 to 10.0.41. The error message indicates that the deployment fails at validation steps.


Reason:
The underlying cause of this appears to be related to script errors encountered during the update process, specifically with the AutoRunDVT job failing at step 66.


Resolution:

  1. Ensure that the quality update 10.0.40 (10.0.1935.158) is applied before attempting to update to version 10.0.41.
  2. If errors occur during the update, provide the following information to support:
  3. A screenshot of the error message and the text of the error.
  4. The logs displayed in the LCS (Lifecycle Services) under [RunBook] and [Logbook].
  5. If the issue persists after applying the updates, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
  6. Reset the IIS server.
  7. Use the stop and start options from the LCS UI.
  8. Stop and start/redeploy from the Azure portal.
  9. If none of the above options resolve the issue, delete the environment and redeploy from LCS, as support may be limited due to subscription access issues.
