What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues while setting up Electronic Invoicing for MY, specifically related to the configuration of the Key Vault and permissions in the Dataverse environment. Errors encountered include lack of privileges for the user and issues with the Electronic Reporting configurations.
 

Reason:
This are primarily caused by incorrect setup of security roles and permissions in the Dataverse environment, which prevents users from accessing necessary tables and functionalities required for Electronic Invoicing.
 

Resolution:

  1. Verify User Roles and Permissions:
  2. Ensure that the user has been assigned the appropriate roles with the necessary privileges, specifically the prvReadmsdyn_ElectronicReportingConfigurationsIndexFile privilege.
  3. Navigate to the Electronic Reporting workspace in the Finance & Operations application.
  4. Select the 'Repositories' option and click on the 'Add' button to create a new repository, choosing 'Dataverse' as the type.
  5. Provide the necessary connection details for the Dataverse environment, including the URL, authentication details, and credentials.
  6. Import Required ER Models:
  7. Import the required Electronic Reporting (ER) models by selecting and importing them into the Finance & Operations environment.
  8. Validate the configurations to ensure they are correct.
  9. Follow Documentation:
