What’s happening?
The customer reported discrepancies in time zone handling when importing and exporting Organization Hierarchy V2 in the Data Management Framework (DMF).


Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the handling of UtcDateTime fields. The system displays time based on the user's time zone information, while the export process outputs the time in UTC format. During the import process, the timestamp from the file is displayed according to the user's time zone.


Resolution:

  1. Confirm the entity being used for the import process, specifically whether it is "Organization hierarchy V2 - published" or "Organization hierarchy V2 - published and draft."
  2. Provide a sample file of the data being imported to ensure accurate assistance.
  3. If necessary, utilize the provided file transfer link for uploading files.
  4. Understand that UtcDateTime fields are defined in such a way that they cannot be changed to other time zones like JST (Japan Standard Time). This behavior is expected and should be recognized as standard functionality.
