What's happening?

Users are unable to verify or authenticate custom domains within Customer Insights. Issues reported include:

  • Domain registration remains pending indefinitely.
  • The "Verify" button does not appear.
  • Error message displayed: "an error occurred during creation of domain".
  • Error log indicates: "Resource not found for the segment 'msdynmkt_ValidateDomainCustomAction'".

Reason:

The process "ValidateDomainCustomAction" was not activated in the system customization settings.

Resolution:

To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Advanced Settings.
  2. Select Customization.
  3. Click on Customize the system.
  4. Go to Process.
  5. Locate and activate the ValidateDomainCustomAction process.
  6. Save and publish the changes.
