What's happening?
Users experience difficulties when formatting text in emails. Specifically, users are unable to apply bold formatting to hyperlinked text, although other formatting options such as italicizing and underlining function correctly. Additionally, formatting tools may become partly unresponsive, such as when attempting to change the font of copied content, resulting in inconsistent or mixed formatting.
Reason:
The formatting issues may occur due to copying and pasting content from external applications (such as Word) into the email designer, as layouts and formatting structures differ between applications.
Resolution:
- Clear the browser cache or attempt to compose the email in an incognito/private browsing mode to determine if the issue is related to cached data.
- Avoid directly copying and pasting content from external applications like Word into the email designer, as this can lead to formatting inconsistencies. Copy and then paste the text first to Notepad. Then copy the text from Notepad before pasting into the email.
- Instead, use the formatting tools provided within the email designer itself to ensure consistent formatting.
