What's happening?
Customers are experiencing difficulties generating invoices and quotes with minimal manual intervention in Dynamics 365.
Reason:
The functionality to generate invoices and quotes with minimal manual intervention is not available under the 'Sales enterprise edition' license. This feature specifically requires a 'Sales professional license'.
Resolution:
To achieve automated or minimally manual generation of invoices and quotes, customers have two options:
License Adjustment: Obtain a 'Sales professional license' which supports the required functionality. Refer to the following documentation for details: Enable generation of quote and invoice documents | Microsoft Learn.
Custom Implementation:
- Create a workflow that triggers the generation of quotes and invoices automatically. OR
- Script Creation: Develop a custom script to automate the generation of quotes and invoices.
