What's happening?

When creating a chart for a dashboard in Power Apps, users select a customized view, but after saving, closing, and reopening the dashboard, the selected view automatically reverts to the default view. This issue affects all dashboards and results in incorrect data being displayed to regular users.

Reason:

This occurs because the chart reverts to the default view set in the chart properties each time the dashboard is opened.

Resolution:

To resolve this, ensure that the default view in the chart properties is set to the customized view you want to display. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the desired dashboard.
  2. Select the customized view you want to set as default for that specific dashboard.
  3. Use the "Set As Default" button in the command bar to save the selected view as the default for that dashboard.
  4. If you need to switch between different dashboards and views, clear any default settings that might override your preferences by using the "Clear Default" button in the command bar.

By following these steps, each dashboard will retain its specific default view without the need to constantly change settings.
