What's happening?
Users are unable to install or access the Dynamics 365 Sales Professional application. Installation attempts fail due to missing dependencies, or users cannot see changes made within the application.
Reason:
This occurs when the environment is created without a database and without enabling the Dynamics 365 apps option. Once the environment is created without these configurations, it cannot be modified to meet the necessary requirements for the Dynamics 365 Sales Professional app installation.
Resolution:
To resolve this, follow these steps:
Verify if the environment was created without a database and without enabling the Dynamics 365 apps option. If these configurations were not enabled during environment creation, the Dynamics 365 Sales Professional app installation will fail due to missing dependencies.
It is not possible to revert these configurations once the environment has been created. Therefore, you must create a new environment with the required settings.
Create a new environment with a database and ensure that the Dynamics 365 apps option is enabled. Refer to the following documentation for detailed instructions on creating an environment with the necessary configurations:
- Manage apps in Power Platform.
After creating the new environment with the correct configurations, proceed to install the Dynamics 365 Sales Professional app. Refer to the following documentation for detailed installation instructions:
- Install the Sales Professional app.
