What's happening?
Appointments created as Microsoft Teams meetings from Dynamics 365 appear in users' Outlook calendars marked as "Free" instead of the expected "Busy" status. Additionally, no reminders are sent to participants.
Reason:
When creating a Teams meeting directly from Dynamics 365 (either from the Timeline of a record or from the Activities page), the appointment status defaults to "Free," and reminders are not sent to participants.
Resolution:
This behavior is by design when creating Teams meetings from Dynamics 365. Users should be aware that appointments created as Teams meetings from Dynamics 365 will automatically have their status set to "Free," and no reminders will be sent to participants.
