What's happening?
Users have reported missing records, specifically opportunities and marketing lists, in the production environment. They are unable to track or restore these deleted records.
Reason:
Deleted records in Dynamics CRM cannot be recovered once they have been permanently deleted from the system.
Resolution:
Deleted records cannot be recovered directly once removed from the system. To mitigate this issue in the future, it is recommended to:
- Enable the recycle bin option within Dynamics CRM. This will allow restoration of deleted records if they are accidentally removed.
- Create regular backups prior to performing deletion operations. If a backup exists, it can be restored to a system integration environment, from which the necessary information about the deleted records can be accessed.
