What’s happening?
Users are unable to create a Power Pages environment using the available templates. When attempting to select a template, the option to choose it is greyed out, despite having roles assigned.
Reason:
The user did not have the necessary administrative privileges required to create a Power Pages site using templates.
Resolution:
Ensure the following prerequisites are met for the user experiencing this:
- Assign the user either the Global Admin or System Admin role.
- Set the user's Access Mode to Read-Write under Client Access License (CAL) Information in the user record. This setting is available at the user level.
- Confirm that the user has the ability to create an app registration in the Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) associated with the environment. This permission can be enabled for all users or assigned individually through a role.
After assigning the System Admin role to the user, the user was able to select the template and successfully create the Power Pages site. For additional information, refer to the following documentation: Create a site manually | Microsoft Learn.
