What’s happening?
Users with a valid license cannot be assigned security roles. When attempting to assign roles, an error message indicates that the user is disabled and roles cannot be assigned to disabled users.
Reason:
This occurs because the user is either disabled or the organizational setting "AllowRoleAssignmentOnDisabledUsers" is not enabled, preventing role assignment to disabled users.
Resolution:
To resolve this, perform one of the following actions:
- Ensure the user account is enabled in the Microsoft Admin Center.
- Alternatively, enable the organization setting "AllowRoleAssignmentOnDisabledUsers" from the OrgDBSettings solution. This setting allows assigning security roles to disabled users. See OrgDBOrgSettings tool for Microsoft Dynamics CRM - Microsoft Support for more information.
