What's happening?
The "Book" button is not available for service activities, and service activities do not appear in the Schedule board under "Unscheduled Service Activities".
Reason:
This behavior can occur due to either of the following reasons:
- The entity was not enabled in the Resource Scheduling settings.
- Post-import code did not execute properly for Service Scheduling upon import. This post-import code ensures that service appointments are enabled for scheduling and establishes additional relationships.
Resolution:
To resolve this, perform the following steps:
- Open the Resource Scheduling app.
- Click on Settings in the changed area.
- Select Administration from the site map.
- Click on Enable Resource Scheduling for Entities.
- Verify if the entity is enabled. If it is not enabled, enable it, then publish the change. This should resolve this.
If the above steps do not resolve this, apply any available updates to the Dynamics 365 Service Scheduling solution. This should address this caused by the post-import code not executing properly.
