Can someone please help me on how to write the formula patch from a barcode scanner to a SharePoint?

What I am trying to do is gather info when a QR code is scanned (like a name) and automatically populated in a SharePoint file.

share point file is called “Homebase”

    Hi @Sahara22 ,

    Is Homebase the name of your SP list?

    I have done a test on my side, using formula like you, everything works fine.

    So I would suggest you to check below things:

    1. Pay attention to the Formula separators in your region. See my above example, in my region, I use comma, but in the formula you provided, I see both comma and semi-colon.

    2. What is the column type of your "Item" column? In my above example, my “Item”,”WhoScnned” and “Time” columns are all Text Column.

    So pay attention to the column type of your “Item”,”WhoScnned” and “Time” columns in your SP.

    Best regards,

    Allen

    You know what? Your absolutely Awesome, I have been struggling for days with this. Thank you so much it worked, the time isn’t Correct but I’m sure I can figure that out.  I will ask you for one more thing if you don’t mind, so the idea is to scan an employee ID card to get there info then Scan the piece of equipment there using (so two different barcode scanning) It needs to be loaded on the same line. Can I do like a double scanning? Or would I have to make another barcode button (which I prefer) . This is what I have so far:

    @Sahara22 ,

    I think this is the fourth thread you have going on this subject - I am dealing with this one.

    Can you please close all but the one you want to continue with.

    Hi @Sahara22,

    Yes, this can be done. You can add another button called “Scan-equipment”, then use Lookup function to find the specified list item and update it. Formula like below:

    Patch(Homebase,Lookup(Homebase, WhoScanned=User().FullName),{'Equipment Number': BarcodeScanner8.Value})

    Besides, as @WarrenBelz mentioned, please mark the useful replies as answer in every thread you created if others' replies did help you. This will benefit other community members who stuck with the same question.

    Best regards,

    Allen
