Getting "Unauthorized" message on flow's trigger

Hi folks,

Suddently one of my flows have been getting the error message "Unauthorised" on deleting items trigger from SharePoint list.

I have tried the following without success.

Copy the flow with the save as button, deleting the original one and activate the new one. (failed same issue)
Turn of the flow with the issue. Then recreate that flow from zero. (failed same issue)
Turn of the flow with the issue. Then recreate that flow from zero. Delete the original one. (failed same issue)

Could anyone please help me with this?

Are you a global admin in your tenant or a site collection admin for the site? There was some discussion with the Product team earlier this summer that the Deleted Item trigger in Flow had some security vulnerabilities. To fix those MS removed some of the metadata returned by the trigger. At the time they discussed adding that metadata back, but restricting the use of the trigger to admins only. I suspect they've now made that change and that's why you are getting the unauthorized error message. I just tried it and the trigger still works for me as a global admin.

Hi @Pstork1 ,
Thanks for the quick reponse. I'm a collection site Admin. The site we have been working with this flow is stopped by the moment bacause of this change. I have made a test according to your comments and the delete trigger works fine with other SharePoint Lists of other sites (than have been created a week ago). This is ocurring only with this particular site and this particular trigger that have been in production 4 months ago.
Any ideas of how to solve this?

If its only happening for that site and rebuilding the Flow still gives you "Unauthorized" then I think your only choice is to open a support ticket. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hi @Pstork1 ,
There was no need to open a support ticket. According to your comments about MS did to solve the vulnerabilities I checked again the connection of the trigger and found that the account that is being used was not in the Admin Collection members of the SharePoint site. I added this account as Admin Collection member of the site and now the issue is no more and the flow is working again perfectly.

I'm glad you were able to resolve your problem. I wish these kinds of changes to the underlying Triggers and Actions were better publicized.
