Problem with mails taken to my flow

Hey everyone,

I've got a problem with mails taken from comboboxes. I take from combobox mail in form like this: "Mail@gmial.com;". The problem appear only when I take the same mail multiple time. I see it correctly passed to SharePoint, in my multiline text column, they look like this: "Mail@gmial.com;Mail@gmial.com;Mail@gmial.com;". But when I run my flow it sends only one approval, not 3 like I would wish in this example. There is no difference in working of the flow if I use ";" or "; "

    Hi , @Biskopt

    Do you put this "Mail@gmial.com;Mail@gmial.com;Mail@gmial.com;" in your approval action?

    If this , it will send one approval . If you want to send three approvals , you need to loop your email using:
    spit( Your Email expression , ";" )

    And then send an approval.If this can not help you, can you show the flow configuration in your side?

    Best Regards,

    Yueyun Zhang

    No I do not do this like that. First I initialize array of mails, then I set it using:

    split(triggerBody()?['AllMails'],'; '). At the end I am using it into approval and I put "AllMails"(this is my column where I store all mails in the form like I wrote) into Assigned To. Without any loop. When I do not have any duplicates it works just fine. But when I have duplications It treats them as one mail and one approval.

    Hi , @Biskopt

    Thanks for your response ! I am not surely understanding your flow condiguration.

    But if you want to remove the duplications , you can use the union() function in my thought.

    I don't want to remove duplicates. I want them, that is the problem. My flow works like this.

    The item is created into my sharepoint list with mails into multiline text column in form like this: "Mail@gmial.com;Mail@gmial.com;Mail@gmial.com;".

    Then I initialize "ArrayOfMails" type Array.

    Then I set it using "split(triggerBody()?['AllMails'],'; ')".

    Then I have my first approval where I put my "AllMails" in field AssignedTo.

    And then goes the rest of my flow but this is not important.

    Hi , @Biskopt

    Thanks for your response! Do you mean you have three same emails and you want to create three approvals?

    If this , can you try this:

    split(triggerBody()?['AllMails'],'; ')

    In my understanding , one "Create an approval" action will create just one approval.

    If you put approval in loop, it will create approval for each mail. Instead of just sending it to them. So it will not fix problem

    Hi , @Biskopt

    Yes, this will create three approvals. Sorry for that i may misunderstand your need.

    So if you contains three same emails , what do you want to send in your side?

    Best Regards,

    Yueyun Zhang

    This all things should work in one Approval. I have Multi Layer Approval. So doing 3 separate approvals will not solve my problem. I want one approval goes to 3 persons, that's all.
