Has anyone found the file location so that you could launch power bi desktop (MS store version)

Just trying to build a morning start up flow to load the programs I use first in the day. A quick google was not successful in locating the exe file location

Hi Pmorg73,

I did a fast check and saw that Windows Apps executables can be found under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps

I had got as far as Users\appdata but my mistake was looking for a Power BI directory

Alas though it does not work as PAD is not allowed to access the directory. Thanks for the help though

I've just reproduced the scenario and it's working fine. Are you sure that there are no other restrictions?

You can try this quick workaround to open PBI:
1. 'Send keys' {LWin} (Windows key)
2. 'Send keys' Power BI
3. 'Send keys' {Return} (Enter)

I was playing and trying to use CMD do something similar but it would not open the CMD for me. this worked first time. Many thanks

I suggest using " mspbi: " URI scheme.
