Greetings from Canada,

I am new in power app and was assign a task to build a PowerApps application which would implements a multi-step approval process based from a scope(drop down list) chosen by the user. I'm using Dataverse as my data source. I tried to search in google but it only appears that examples are usually for Sharepoint fata source.

Scope1: Approver 1, 2

Scope 2: Approver 1,2 & 3

Scope 3: Approver 1,2, 4, 5,6 & 7

Can someone share a logical flow model or point to a resource where a flow logic is available to implement a multi-step approval.

Your help is greatly appreciated as I've been trying out for month now but

    Hi @noob5powerusr ,

There can be few approaches in this scenario since its Dataverse.

    1. Do you have Business Process Flow? If yes, you can have multiple stages defining multi-level approvers. Here, power automate flow can pick which stage the BPF is and send approval based on approvers either hardcoded or on BPF/Record itself.

Once, all approvers approve, automatically or manually shift Business process stage further.

    2. If structure is static without heavy change, then you can use Power Automate directly

    3. Let's consider you want to build a PowerApps, then based on logic how data is passed and how it should trigger. App can be designed. Whereas, it can still use Power Automate for approvals.

Logical flow without BPF can also be done using flags in your record. Plan a sequence of how you want the process should work and later you can think of ways to achieve it. Power App compulsion isn't necessary.

    Hope this helps.
