New Authoring Version breaking Canvas App

Hi,

I have a canvas app (wrapped in a Solution) that has been running fine for several months.

When I published it not too long ago, the ability to add and edit records with the existing functions stopped working.

There was no modifications made on the formulas (both use a Patch with some extra functions).

Deleting is still possible and it seems like my security roles & business units and working fine.

I created a new screen in the app with a few labels and a button with a Patch function. It worked fine and I was able to create new records.

The only way I was able to get my old functions to work was to change the Authoring Version from 3.21094.25 to 3.21092.24.

What is happening here? Why did this update break perfectly functional screens? What can I do about it? Should I stay on an older version?

Thanks

    @Anonymous ,

    I had to do exactly the same thing this week (went back to 92.24). My issue was that things stopped working for only a small number of users on iPads (app would not open for some and screen elements disappeared for others). 92.24 seems stable - I had to go back two versions).

    Is this something you've experienced in the past? Is it considered "normal"? And what's the long term strategy to go back to the most recent versions, if it's even necessary?

    @Anonymous ,

    Not "normal", but happens occasionally with new releases.
