Working on a same app simultaneously

How can two developers can work on a single app simultaneously? Suppose my colleagues wants to edit the same app simultaneously in order to deliver the product faster to the client.

Thanks in advance!

    @BibhasDey PA does not yet support co-authoring but some there is an interesting blog on collaborative development here, https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/collaborative-development-for-powerapps-canvas-apps/

    Only one user can open the app in edit mode at the time. There are some articles that dividing app in different components worked by different developer. And then combine it. But, i think it will be problematic.

    Hi @BibhasDey

    Although it is not possible for two app builders to open the same app in Power Apps studio at the same time, there are two main ways for multiple developers to work on the same app simultaneously.

    The first, as  @CNT mentions, is to divide the work into multiple components. Each developer works on a component in their own app, and at the end of the process, you would merge with the components into a single app.

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/collaborative-development-for-powerapps-canvas-apps/

    This technique provides a no-code/low code method for simultaneous app development. However, there is a disadvantage in that there are certain tasks that we cannot carry out through components (such as the inability to save data to a data source).

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/create-component

    The second technique is to extract the source code for the app, and for the developers to build the app using an IDE such as Visual Studio Code. This provides the most powerful way for collaborative development, and a benefit is that app builders can check changes into a source control system such as github. However, it is a 'code first' way of working, and requires knowledge of the YAML language.

    @BibhasDey

    Power Apps just released a feature to allow multiple developers to work on the same canvas app at once.  Check the article below for full setup instructions.  It was too long to write in a single forums post.

    Is there a similar recommended approach for multiple users working on a model driven app (i.e. not a canvas app)? Is there any way to know if someone else is modifying the same form that you are working on, within the same solution? Is it possible to collaborate through the creation of solutions for each developer, that can then be merged into a shared solution? Thank you!
