On-Premises data gateway for Microsoft Flow_ SQL 2016

Hi all,

 

I am looking into an on-premice data gateway to connect to some SQL DB's that I have.

 

when reading the guides I am only seeing a connection reference to SQL 2016.

 

can any one tell me that if I do get IT to create a gateway for me will I then be able to access any earlier version of SQL 2016 such as SQL 2014 via Flow?

    Hi Lee,

     

    You could try to install and configure on-premises data gateways following the steps in this documentation:
    https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/gateway-reference/

     

    Then you could connect to your on-premises data sources from Flow using on-premises gateway, please refer to this documentation:
    https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/on-premises-data-gateway/

     

    If you are using PowerApps, you could also create a connection to on-premises SQL Server according to this documentation:
    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/connect-to-your-on-premises-data-sources-using-on-premises-data-gateway-from-powerapps/

    Hiya, thanks for getting back to me on this.

     

    my main query is if I can connect to a SQL 2014 DB or will I only be able to connect to SQL Server 2016?
