Using Power Automate to send an email to edit a Power App item

Hi everyone,

I have a Power Apps Canvas App that's attached to a SharePoint list.  It works great on adding a new item.  There was a new request and now after 30 days the creator of the item needs to update it.

If this was a normal SharePoint list, I would just send the url of the list editform.aspx?ID= "ID of the item".

With Power Apps, I have the weblink, but when I try to add ?ID= it only ever goes to the blank form, and not the item that I want to edit.

I have a PARAM statement in use to tell Power Apps what to do:
(IsBlank(Param("ID")),Set(varItem,LookUp('MyListName',ID=Value(Param("ID"))));EditForm(SharePointForm1))

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.  Help would be appreciated.

    Hi @smorley,

Not sure how you configure this deep link and the email body, however, I have a simple demo on my side, please check for details.

Firstly here is my test result:

1). I have two screens, one for home screen displaying all the items, another one for edit screen editing the special record.

2). Set the OnSelect property of the ">" button within the Gallery as below:

    Set(VarRecord,ThisItem);Navigate(EditScreen);EditForm(Form1)

3). Set the Item property of the form as below:

    VarRecord

4). Set the OnStart property of the App as below:

    Set(VarLuLaiID,Value(Param("LuLaiID")));If(VarLuLaiID<>0,Set(VarRecord,LookUp(ActionHolders,ID=VarLuLaiID)))

Set the StartScreen property of the App as below:

    If(!IsBlank(Param("LuLaiID")),EditScreen)

Note that the LuLaiID is a parameter you could rename with anything.

Thanks @v-qiaqi-msft - my param statement is now working fine.

The answer to the deep link of the ID of a Power App form is:
https://apps.powerapps.com/play/e/default-"Your Power App ID"?tenantId="Your Tenant ID"&ID="ID of your item"
The key to making it work is the "&".  You can't use a "?" because you've already used it in the url before tenantId.
