Append to a value in a List

Hey All! I'm creating a inventory logging system and wanted to add something that appends to a list. This is what I'm looking to do

Say we have an existing item in the table.

ItemNameQtyModified by
Apple10N/A
Potato15User Adam Greg replaced Previous value 5, with 15
Banana30User Katherine Goble replaced previous value 3 with 30

Thats the table we have. But I am struggling figuring out how to append the modified by list. After a modification this is what I want to do

ItemNameQtyModified by
Apple10N/A
Potato150

User Adam Greg replaced Previous value 5, with 15

User Patricia Rodrigez replace Previous value 15, with 150

Banana30User Katherine Goble replaced previous value 3 with 30

This is the code I have now, the field that we need to edit is field_5 but no matter what I tried it did not want to cooperate with me

 SouthCartLog,
 LookUp(
 SouthCartLog,
 Title = First(ProductRecord).Title), // This is the ItemName
 {
 field_1: Value(UpdatedCartSouth.Text), // This is the Qty
 field_5: SouthCartLog.field_5 & " // This is the field I'm getting trouble with. THis errors
 " & tempStr & User().FullName & " Replaced the previous value: " & First(ProductRecord).SouthCartQty &
 " with " & UpdatedCartSouth.Text,
 }
 );

    With your troublesome field, can you save it to a variable before your Patch function? That will make life so much easier for you.

    // Store your variable first
    UpdateContext({locTemp: $"{LookUp(SouthCartLog, Title = First(ProductRecord).Title).field_5} {tempStr} {User().FullName} Replaced the previous value: {First(ProductRecord).SouthCartQty} with {UpdatedCartSouth.Text}"});

    // Then use it
    Patch(
    SouthCartLog,
     LookUp(
     SouthCartLog,
     Title = First(ProductRecord).Title), // This is the ItemName
     {
     field_1: Value(UpdatedCartSouth.Text), // This is the Qty
     field_5: locTemp
     }
     );

    I haven't tested the code, because I can't, but it should be roughly what you need.
