Spinner not loading on Form Save

Hello,

I have Form1 that is doing error checking and if no errors, then saves the form data. Since there may be attachments saved, it sometimes takes 5-10 seconds to save the form data. So I decided to incorporate a spinner.

I've added the spinner image and rectangle and set both Visible to varShowSpinner.

Have a Submit button with OnSelect code which checks for errors in the Comments, Suggestions, and Location fields on Form1. If there are no errors in any of those 3 fields, then it should save the data:

If(And(!varErrorComments,!varErrorSuggestions,!varErrorLocation),

Set(varShowSpinner,true) & SubmitForm(Form1) & ResetForm(Form1) & Navigate(screenMain,ScreenTransition.None) & Set(varShowSpinner,false)

);

The spinner/rectangle never display during the saving process, the little dots just march across the top, but it does successfully save the data to Share Point and navigates back to the Main screen. Any thoughts/ideas on why the spinner/rectangle does not show? I know the save is taking 5-10 seconds as the app is saving 2 large attachment files so I don't think it is due to a small time factor.

Thank you

    I've never used/seen '&' used between code snippets like you have done and am surprised that the Form is saving data. Anyway, try this instead

    If(
     And(!varErrorComments,!varErrorSuggestions,!varErrorLocation),

     // true condition code set
     Set(varShowSpinner,true);
     SubmitForm(Form1);
     ResetForm(Form1);
     Navigate(screenMain,ScreenTransition.None);
     Set(varShowSpinner,false)

    );

    @Anonymous,

    Yes I have used the '&' in place of the ';' in the past and that always seemed to work. So I did two things to retry the spinner:

    1) I incorporated the ';' in place of the '&' per your suggestion

    2) I reordered the spinner 'to the front' two times

    It was successful and now the spinner shows. Thank you for your solution.
