What is the easiest way to extract an email address from an unstructured message body?

Hi...first time using Power Automate.

I have watched so many videos and read tons of articles, and now I am lost.

Problem: We get lots of email replies and bounce-back messages from failed email delivery.

Getting the TO and FROM out of an email is straightforward.

Where I have a problem is how to extract any email address from an unstructured body.

Examples attached

There are so many variations of these emails. It would be easiest to pull all of the addresses out of the body and then have a filter rule that eliminates the addresses I do not want to append to an excel file.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. It's an interesting solution. The only problem is that we receive 5-10K of these emails per day.

Hi @Anonymous,

you said 5-10K emails per day to a single mailbox? I recommend you to create a prototype that retrieves only "From :" address (don't parse the body at all) and places it to Excel and test if it will work with such volume of emails.

Hi Victor....

We are parse all of these right now. At least the ones that need to be.

I think I am fine with the to and from. It seems to pick it up from the bounce file.

Let's call this solved until I hit the wall again 🤓
