Hi Everyone,
I am trying to store the data in a collection called "colGridData" using the patch function but the data is not getting patched in the collection. I am using the below code for it. Does anyone has any idea what I  am doing wrong?

Patch(
colGridData,
ThisItem,
{
Title: employeeName.Text,
Spud_Name: spudName.Selected,
Project_Name: projectName.Selected,
Date: DateValue(mondayDate),
Hours: Value(mondayHours.Text)
}
);

    I would drop a text box somewhere in this gallery or whatever it is in and dispay ThisItem.SomeProperty just to confirm that there is indeed an object stored in ThisItem where SomeProperty can be any column name that belongs to that object.

    Is there any other code that executes along with this? People sometimes reset inputs before they patch the data and then dont realize thats a mistake until later on when they cant figure out why they arent getting data patched.

    Patch is more used for sending data to a list; if you are trying to populate a collection you want to use Collect, or ClearCollect if you want to get rid of all of the previous data before putting the new stuff in.

    I am already using ClearCollect to create the collection.

    I am using another code to send the data from the collection to my SharePoint list. First I want to store the data in the collection then I want to store it in a SharePoint list using a button. So I am using some other code for the save button and on the click of that button the data should be stored from collection to the SharePoint list.
