Excel Warning Message - How to Handle?

In my PAD flow, I copy a row from one Excel sheet to another which includes some formulas.  When the Paste Cells to Excel worksheet action executes, I get this pop-up warning:

I can of course manually check the box and click OK, but if this flow runs on a new machine, it'll pop up again.  I can't use the error handling feature of the action because this isn't an error, nor is there a timeout option.  So I can't have it call a subflow to handle the pop window.  How can PAD deal with this?

    Hi @Ukiman1014 ,

If it contains formulas it will not accept better go with Create template and add formulas there and data only you can insert so automatically data got updated based on formula.

    What if you just have:

    wait 1

    send keys {Enter}

immediately after paste. If the error pops up, this will go away, if not, it will simply return down to the next line. As long as your next step isn’t based on the selected cell, this shouldn’t harm anything.

    Good luck!

Instead of copying and pasting, wouldn't it work if you just used Read from Excel worksheet and Write to Excel worksheet, so that you read a row and then write it. If you don't need the formulas and are okay with values only, that should work perfectly fine, too.

I was also getting popup sometimes in excel and this is how I handled.

After you use Paste cells action use the below actions with proper selector for those corresponding Ui elements by capturing it.

    1. use If window contains action and take selector of that popup message.

    2. inside if use set checkbox state in window action to tickmark on checkbox.

    3. then use press button action to click on OK button.

    Please see below screenshot:

Please mark this as solution if it solves your issue. Happy to help more.

    Thanks.

I like this idea!  I will keep it in mind for the future for Excel warnings.  I "solved" my issue by just not copying the cells with formulas because it turns out I didn't need them.

That brings up a good point.  It looks like the difference between using copy & paste vs. read & write is the copy paste includes formatting.  I don't think switching it to read & write would have removed the warning, as it would still be copying the formula but, as I just stated above, it turns out I didn't need to carry over the cells with formulas, so I just skipped them and therefore "eliminated" the error.
