Model Driven App Command Bar Edit - Xrm Toolbar Ribbon Workbench Does not display Show Chart

Hi All,

My grid view displays come commands that I don't need, such as Show Chart (see below)

I have installed Ribbon Workbench within XRM Toolbox, but it doesn't display a Show Chart button for edit.

I'm just looking for help, please? By the way, I tried the modern command designer but that tells me that edit of the button is not allowed because it is a "legacy" button.

Hi @caharland,

I am afraid that is not possible as of writing this post. You can navigate to Table -> Charts and delete all the charts there, but even that would not remove the Show Charts button. I tried this personally on XrmToolBox as well, but Show Charts button was not listed there.

Hi @caharland,

We cannot edit or remove the Show Chart button using the modern command designer because it’s not supported yet. Ribbon Workbench may not show the button for editing if it’s a protected legacy command. Customizing or hiding this button requires advanced ribbon XML customization or unsupported hacks, which are complex and risky.

Two recommendations for you:

Accept the limitation for now: Microsoft is gradually migrating commands to the modern framework, but some legacy buttons remain locked.

Consider alternative UX approaches: If you need to hide or replace the Show Chart button, consider customizing views or using JavaScript web resources as a workaround, but these are advanced and not officially supported.
