Editing previously submitted data

Hi,

I have an app set up where users enter data and it loads the data into a sharepoint list. Often users put in the wrong data and it needs to be edited. I am hoping to use the data entry ID to edit the wrong entry in the app rather than having to do it within the Sharepoint list as this is more time consuming and it ends up me (the app owner) doing it rather than the users even though they realise they have made a mistake. Hope this makes sense, any help is much appreciated.

    Hi @Anonymous

    Did you try the Patch function to edit records?

    Patch(
    MyList,
    Lookup(MyList, ID = MyRecordID),
    {
    Column1: NewValue1,
    Column2: NewValue2,
    Column3: NewValue3
    }
    )

    @Anonymous

    The usual combination of an edit form and gallery should allow users to view and edit their submitted data.

    Typically, you can put ViewForm(Self) in the OnSuccess property of the form so the user can see what was submitted.  A button with OnSelect EditForm(Formname) would let them correct the entry.

    Thanks for your reply Drrickryp.

    Have a look at my form here. I am trying to get the guys to input co2 meter readings and then this populates a sharepoint list. Occasionally the guys input the wrong data and they realise at the time and would like to amend there mistake - hope this makes sense see my app outline below.

    So I have updated the form so ViewForm(Self) is in the OnSuccess property.

    See below for my current Button which patches the form data across - where would the EditForm(Formname) come within this code? Any help is much appreciated.

    See below for my current Button which patches the form data across - where would the code you have outlined in your reply fit in to the code already there? Thanks and any help is much appreciated.
