I have e3 enterprise plan and I can use MSSQL premium connector. I do not pay $10/40 plan.If I try to use other premium connectors, it asks me to sign up for a plan.So, is MSSQL a premium connector? Or it works for anyone who has o365 plan?
Sql is a premium connector as of October 1, 2019. But there was an exception granted for apps that were already using the connector at that point for 5 years. I suspect that is why you are not being prompted. But that is only supposed to cover apps that were already using the connector at that point. New apps should require a premium license. But the system may not detect whether its a new app or an old one.
@Pstork1 I have made apps after oct 1 2019. I can make apps using MSSQL connector no problem. But if I use other premium connector in same app, then it ask me for subscription.
As I said, New apps that use SQL do require a premium license, but the software may not detect the difference and raise a prompt. But from a legal point of view, yes a premium license is required for any SQL connector used in a new app created after Oct. 1, 2019. The fact that it doesn't prompt you is not a guarantee that you don't need a license.
