Dev Ops to MS Planner Update task details

When an Item from the Azure Dev ops user story is assigned, I have created it to pull them details through to my MS Planner.

The issue is every time the Dev Ops User story is updated, Power automate creates a card, with the updated details rather than updating the current one that's already been created in the first instance.

Is there a way to do the following:

  1. Search to see if a the details already exist, if so update the task, if not, create a task

    Hi @huzayfahhh1

Logic would be to first list all tasks using list tasks action and then using filter array to filter with certain parameters , like let's say the title of task is equal to Azure devops user story name (assume), then use that approach to filter it. then check output of filter array is zero or more than zero elements in it, if more than zero element, it means already task is created for that so just update the task , else create it.

Hi @Nived_Nambiar - Thanks for the flow guide!
I have come across an Issue where if the the User story is assigned me as a user, then I update and re-assign it to someone else, I'd like the task to be updated and show re-assigned to that user.

    Is this possible to achieve?

    Hi @huzayfahhh1

I think that can be achieved using update a task action.

In assigned users field, you can add email ids of those people whom the task need to be assigned to (which may be getting as output from trigger) and in Remove assigned users field, specify the email ids of those whom task is currently assigned, you will get it as output list tasks action.

    Hope this information helps !
