workflow in sharepoint not triggering

Hi Folks,

I am trying to build a work flow when accessing in sharepoint folder ... everything is connected apart from it won't trigger it .

lay out is

Share point (select folder) > get (file) >grab user profile > send email to manager to get approval

In each category it has a green tickets. but can't trigger the flow to see if the run is any good.

Any ideas?

Hi @szeto,

Which trigger are you using? There are 4 triggers about the File is created in a folder, if you can specified which trigger in your Flow, it will be better to assist with you. Also, if the trigger you using is not work, you can test other 3 triggers.

Hi Guys,

so this is what i am doing..

so what i'm trying to do is the following if someone wants to use a file/ folder in share point they will need to get permission from a approval. trying to add a "IF" condition but can't seem to add it.

Hi @szeto,

So you want to trigger the Flow when a user selects the file in a folder? Maybe the For a selected file trigger is what you want. The trigger will fire when someone selects the file and chooses flow to run:

Hi Lin,

Those files would be within a folder so can i put a trigger on the folder, i want it to send an alert to the folder approval first before users able to use the specific files or folders...

but when i tested it, it didn't turn out the way i wanted it... in fact i could access the file and edit it before the email of approval arrived.

any suggestions on how to bypass this?
