How to apply different colour background to different text content on power app?

Hi all, new user for power app. I am trying to create a power app for work and was hoping to get some help for some formatting problems that I have encountered.

I was hoping to apply different set colour background according to different text content. For example, green colour background for "Approved for use", red colour background for "Not approved". However whenever I tried to do it, it will apply to all ie either green colour for both "Approved" and "Not approved", or red for both. How do you write the formula to only apply certain colour to certain text?

hey @sabrinawu

this is possible

if its a text box this should work:

Switch( TextControl.Text, "Approved for use", Color.Green, "Not approved", Color.Red, "Pending review", Color.Orange )

you need to replace the Textbox with the name of your input control

you need to put this in the fill property. if its another column type like choice or combobox let me know
