Custom SharePoint Document Library Form and 'Network error when using Patch ... '

OK, so I have a very basic SharePoint library with a document set content type.  When I use the default form all works well.  I am able to add the title, due date and a description.  I then created a custom form (using Canvas) and publish the form.  Back in the SharePoint library I click the New button and select the document set content type.  I populate the title, due date and description fields; but when I try to save the set I get the error "Network error when using Patch function:  The requested operation is invalid."

What does that mean, and what do I need to do to fix the reason the document set cannot be saved?

I am in the same boat. This happens to me in both the case of adding document sets and when creating a folder content type. In both cases, I want to customize the form in power apps canvas and I get the same error you describe. I hope we can get an answer.
