Condition based on Form answer, not recognized

Hi everyone,

I am triggering the Power Automate flow via a MS Form submission where I am asking the following question:

Q: For which outlet was this inspection conducted?

Answer 1: Location 1

Answer 2: Location 2

Now, the flow has a condition logic where I check if the submitted answer equals "Location 1", and if yes do abc. If the submitted answer is NOT equal to "Location 1", then I know its for location 2 which means I want to do xyz.

The error I am getting is this:

"One or more fields provided is of type 'Null', a different type is expected."

Which cant be since its a mandatory question and either "Location 1" or "Location 2". What am I doing wrong here?

And if you look in the run history, at the set variable action, what has the value been set to?

Value: Location 1

The spelling of the variable / value is correct, that should not be the issue. Whats stumping me here is that the error says the value is NULL, which simply cant be.

Hi, Just wondering if you ever came up with a solution to this? I'm having the same issue on a form with a basic 'Yes / No' question - I've checked for spelling, capitalisation, rogue spaces ... it just will not recognise and apply the condition!
