Availability of Employee

Good Morning, I am running into an issue and Im not even sure if this is the right way to go about it. There could be something much easier.

I have an "Install" custom list in Sharepoint. It contains many fields including a date range (start date, end date) , a lookup to a site column "Customers", and  also contains a lookup to a list of "Contacts"(employees). I am not using AD because its only a certain number of employees that can be used. I have a gallery of "Install" items that can be filtered by a date range, as well as 3 dropdowns.  I have another gallery of contacts. What I am trying to do is this:

When a date range is selected to search I would like the following to happen:

Gallery 1 "Install"- Display Items in Date Range (currently functional)

Gallery 2 "Contacts"- Display Employees Within Date Range that are currently available.  (I have no idea where to begin)

I have tried to set the visible property, and I have tried to filter the gallery.

I honeslty am not even sure where to start to make this work. I appreciate any ideas.

Do you mean the Employees listed in the 'Install' List ? If yes, then

The Employees should be available to show with the

    ThisItem.ContactField.DisplayName

If the available employees are from the "Contacts" list, which date field that you would like to filter with?

In other words, how an Employee is defined as available during the selected time range?

The filter function should be similar to the "Install" list.

For how to work with SharePoint lookup field, see:

I would like to show the "contact" list of employees that aren't already assigned in the Install list during a date range based off of the Install list.

    If contact.employee = Install.employee during install.startdate through install.EndDate......don't show

I tried to write it in plain english 🙂

    Thanks for your help!
