Keep the default theme of the SharePoint list form modified through PowerApp

Hello,

I modified a form from one of my SharePoint lists via PowerApp to condition the appearance of certain fields to be filled in according to the value of fields previously filled by the user.

Once the form is edited on PowerApp and then published, its formatting is not quite the same and does not match the default of a form that has not been edited in PowerApp. Is it possible to return to this default formatting or theme by keeping only my functional customizations through PowerApp ?

Here are some screenshots of a form with the default SharePoint theme and the same form published after changes with PowerApp

I hope I have been sufficiently precise in my explanations. If this is not the case, do not hesitate to ask me for details. Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

    Hi @Perduits972 ,

If I understood correctly, you are willingly to keep controls with default SharePoint view/edit interface if their functions have not been modified, but only change controls to Power Apps interface when they've been modified with Power Apps Form.

While actually, when you customize form in Power Apps, it means you will use Power Apps Form Control to replace the view/edit pane of SharePoint. All controls in this Form would change their appearance to what it in Power Apps.

As the result, I think there is no way to achieve your need.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    Yes,

I just want to be able to condition the appearance (visibility ?) of certain fields in the list form based on a previous multiple choice field. But I don't want to loose the SharePoint list form theme (default SharePoint view / edit interface). That I find prettier.

Is there a way to create this field visibility condition directly from SharePoint without going through PowerApp?

I tried to follow these steps : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/list-form-conditional-show-hide ; but Multiple choice column are not supporter and i'm not sure this will affect the form (maybe only the list view).

If not, is it possible to manually copy Json or other code from the default SharePoint theme to apply it to my custom form?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @Perduits972 ,

If you would like to modify the interface of SharePoint, that would be a SharePoint develop question. I'm afraid you will need to ask in SharePoint community instead.

As an alternative choice, in Power Apps Form you will be able to customize the "appearance" of any controls by setting properties of them, such as border color, fill color, border thickness etc., so I think it is is feasible to customize those controls to make them "look like" those in SharePoint . However, obviously it would be a big project if need to implement on a large set of Controls.

    Hi,

Ok, thanks for your help. I'll keep my useless fields without visibility condition from PowerApp to keep my SharePoint default theme.

    Best regards,
